Editorial and source policy
Review the evidence labels, source hierarchy, historical patch rules, correction process, and commercial separation used by this wiki.
Source hierarchy
- Primary: Riot Games announcements, official League of Legends properties, Riot support pages, and Riot-hosted Data Dragon files.
- Secondary: reputable reporting that directly cites a primary source and preserves enough context to verify the claim.
- Discovery only: community posts, forums, videos, social snippets, and keyword tools. These can identify a question but cannot independently confirm roster or balance facts.
Evidence labels
Confirmed means an accessible primary source supports the statement. Historical reference means the statement is tied to the named legacy patch. Pending means the question matters but the available evidence is insufficient.
Historical data
Tables generated from Data Dragon always display the version. We do not relabel historical entries as current. Client tags and plain descriptions are presented as source data, not strategy recommendations.
Corrections and updates
Factual errors are corrected as soon as they can be reproduced. The page review date changes for material updates. If two official sources conflict, the claim remains pending and the conflict is described rather than hidden.
Commercial separation
Advertising does not determine status labels, page conclusions, rankings, or source selection. We do not sell placements in the roster or item database.
